Evoms tune 997.2 PDK Turbo
Evoms tune 997.2 PDK Turbo
well I took advantage of Todd being at Sharkwerks today and decided to put in the Evoms tune.
No pre and post dyno but we did get vbox runs in before and after.
Let me preface this by saying that I probably have one of the higher mileage 997.2 turbos in the country since I drive this daily. I have over 7500 miles on the car already and that has been completely bone stock. As such, I'm very familiar with the power of the car. I have tracked the car at Leguna Seca before and plan on taking it to the 1/4 mile this coming autumn.
So unfortunately for everyone, I decided to do this during a record high heat period for nor cal. Today was over 95 degrees and they did the run on a full tank of gas. I literally got a full tank about 400 feet from sharkwerks. Todd and Alex ( uh hrmm at least 400lbs) both sat in the car and did the stock vbox runs.
Stock :
0-60 consistent 3.5s
Tuned : consistent 3.2s
0-100 shaved I believe around 1 sec off and was accomplished with 69feet shorter distance.
Todd will be sending me the vbox graphs which I will post later.
Vbox runs were done with both of them in the car and were done without launch control.
First impressions driving home, the car is definitely faster. There is absolutely no question about it. It was running smoothly and the shifts were lightning fast. From what I can tell the boost lvls were achieved much sooner than before. I don't know exactly how much boost this car is running because the boost gauge was pegged at 1 bar.
I still need to find a good 4wheel dyno in the bay area so any suggestions would be welcome. Let me know what data or information I can provide and i'll try and get them for the forum.

Glad you went with SharkWerks and Evoms you cannot go wrong with that team.
I also just picked up my EVT700 with dual map mod from Alex and Todd when I seen you.

We sent the graphs over to you and it's interesting to note (we only did 0 to 100 due to road permitting conditions hehe) that the tuned version of the car was already 5 or so car lengths ahead of the stocker. See you when we get back! And she's got more in it I think but we didn't have room/time to try more runs.

It's very quick indeed and needs better tires that's for sure... I had fun driving her for a few days in AZ last week.
congrats on your first mod! Best bang for the buck IMO. Coupling the flash with an exhaust will really do wonders both in performance and sound.
I still distinctly remember my initial reaction when I got the 997TT and the CTT flashed(Todd did the CTT in person). Man! The look on my face......priceless.

You'll probably pick up another couple of 1/10's with just yourself driving.

Todd just forward me the graphs ... so here they are.
I wish we did the tune today ... its much nicer out!
this shows the 0-100mph clearly.

Heh Alex says they are 420 combined.
Where did you guys get your V-boxes? I'd like to get some more objective data on my car... and post some times as well. But, for now all I have is the readout from the "butt-o-meter" (which seems to indicate that the 650 package is really freaking fast!).
