Has anyone replaced the plastic with CF?

Do the new TTs now have gloss black PCMs instead of the volcano grey?

 

don't believe CF exists for the PCM - just too many buttons to be able to cut it out, is what I think how it was explained when I asked some of the vendors. I regret not getting leather PCM in my '07 as I hate the volcano grey. The black on the newer cars is much nicer.

 

I think there are a few folks out there that have carbon PCM faceplates available:

Is it possible to order the black PCM, climate control and lower switch from Porsche and replace the original volcano grey pieces?

It isn't going to be cheap because one would have to replace the pcm, climate control and lower switches.

 

not sure - i don't know if the button layout is different. Did they go to black PCM only when they upgraded the PCM?

 

interesting find Bob. don't recall ever seeing anyone with it installed - would love to see how it looks.

 

I have carbon from them & can not tell the difference from factory. Before making the investment required to do what you want, find the cheapest item they have and check quality for yourself. Just an idea for whatever it's worth.

 

We work with DB for some of our items. Their quality is par or if not better than OEM. We can order PCM, climate control and button panel in CF. PM me for details!
