Anyone have an idea or guess how long they will produce the Turbo S before production ceases?

 

I don't know but it's one wicked car for sure. I test drove one recently and I am looking to pull the trigger on one soon.

 

Usually 1-2 yrs max. The S model typically signals the end of the current turbo line.

 

i was told by a salesman at porsche that production is over. he told me you can no longer order one.

 

Wow! so, 991 is coming!!

 

That's BS, you can still order one.

 

Here in Kuwait we just had a fleet arrive which included a gorgeous Turbo S. The order books are still open.

I believe that PCNA is at the end of it's run for the Turbo S. Soon you will have to find one already configured.

 

As long as there is someone willing to write a large check

 

I believe the guys with the large checks are focused on the 918

 

Until Porsche runs out of extra parts for the 997 body style and not one moment sooner...

 

When I bot mine last april, I spoke to seveal dealers and general comment at that time was 500 in '10 and 500 in '11 (for U.S. market) and that was it until next turbo in '13 or '14. the 500 in '10 from what I can tell was about right.

 

I just placed an order today for a December build. My dealer is going to get 2 more allocations in November.

The only sticking point for me is the color. I printed out the configurator as a *.pdf. I like blue - so I chose Aqua Blue Metallic - but I don't know if this compares to Cobalt Blue, for example. Does anyone know if it lighter or darker?
