my 55 Chevy

Hi, new guy here.
Most likely the worst handling car on this forum!
I built it myself over the past few years, body off, some custom stuff, a 375hp 327. I wanted to build it 60's street style.
It is fun to bang gears in but very much archaic.

'55 is my fav. year.

I'm sure it isn't the best handler, but there is something to be said for the fun it brings!

Nice car.

Beautiful car.

Have you considered taking it down the 1320' just to see what she does?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Tim - the car ran a 13.3 at 5,500' elevation with 3:23 gears. i am debating adding 4:11 to get the times better.

I am one of those guys that appreciates and has owned may different makes and styles of vehicles. I really enjoy taking this car out for a romp once and a while, but it definitely does not satisfy all of my motoring wishes.
I need to find the perfect car that does everything

May as well just build a bigger garage because no one car can do it all. The joy of classic muscle certainly isn't how fast it is or how well it handles, odds are there is a late model that does both better. It is that feel, that seat of the pants, that sound of a classic pushrod V8.

I have been lucky enough to drive many styles and ages of cars. If I wanted to have every great thing I enjoyed about cars in my garage I would have to build a shed the size of a Home Depot to fit all the cars it takes to get every fun feeling you can get while driving. lol

Toasted the clutch yesterday on a PCH sunday drive. It has less than 1000 miles on it. I should have gone with an Hays or Centerforce from the start. What a pain in the ****

What clutch was in it?

A friend of mine had a Centerforce Dual Friction in his drag Camaro for a while. Nice road manners and very good holding power.
