Wondering what's the best suspension upgrade for the car, I want a good drop right on the fender, not sure if just springs will lower this much, any ideas to get like 2 inch drop...

I doubt anyone makes a 2" drop for that car. It's pretty low as it sits stock.

Maybe 1 1/4 would work, but I mean all I have found I think was the evosport spring that I believe do 3/4 of an inch, that's not much for my taste, that's why I wanted to find out if there was any other options out there...

The only suspension kit that I know of is ours. We offer a "race" or a "sport" spring kit.

You can lower the car as much as you want with either kit (much lower than with the stock springs). The car comes with adjusters on the coil-overs. There is a factory stopper that needs to be removed, but this is not a big deal. Our springs are shorter and firmer so you can lower the car.

For very low, I would use the race kit.

However, 2" and you will have rubbing and bottoming out issues if you use spacers to push the wheels our or proper offset wheels.

Let me know if we can help.

thanks
Brad

or you could adjust the height with the stock coilovers
and lowering it more wont necessarily be an upgrade.

I gotta agree. MB spent countless hours on the Black Series. It's pretty damn hard to squeeze anymore performance out of them and still keep the daily driver quality that they have

Actually you cannot adjust the height very much with the stock springs. They are quite tall and even if you remove the factory installed thread stopper on the coil, you will only have a limited amount to lower. This is especially true if you run wider wheels/tires compared to stock.

The only thing that the factory set-up really allows you do to is to corner balance the car, not really lower it much.

Lowering it IS an upgrade in this car to a point. Lowering the CG (center of gravity) will improve handling, as long as you don't lower to the point of hampering the required shock movement or create any bottoming out.

With that logic, you have just eliminated the entire aftermarket performance world.

MB, like every car maker leaves quite a lot of performance on the table with virtually every car.

On this car, you gain a real advantage with our spring set(s). More important than lowering the car is to correct the very poor high speed rear grip. The spring set(s) that we have put together do increase rear grip. Anyone with any time above 120mph in these cars will tell you that the rear becomes very light and unnerving. The spring change will make the car much more settled.

Even AMG told one of our customers "there is no way you will get 100 more hp out of a Black Series" - and when we did that same US AMG Exec in stun apologized to our client.

Again, just because it is a Black Series, that does not mean it is fully developed.

thanks
Brad

Thats true there isnt a whole lot of adjustment, anything past the stock adjustment and it definately wont going over speed bumps with ease. As for the extra 100hp, im sure this is 50 state emissions legal too . Im sure yall could get even more out of it, clearly that exec is not familiar with modifying cars. if a 20yr old 3.0L toyota can make 600+whp on pump gas why cant a 3yr old dohc 6.2L v8? the only limit is price/budget.
