it's at a car seller's place in St George, Ut - on ebay with just a couple of days to go

 

The car looks clean and for the mileage the price seems pretty reasonable.

Rather then bid, call them directly. They would rather sell the car off eBay for less than pay final valuation fees. My guess is they would probably take $72.5k to $72.75k.

 

You sure you want a tip? Also, for that price you can probably get a CPO car.

 

what I "want" is a 2010 Yellow PDK'd CPO'd coupe - but my Wife now says she wants my '08 M5 (rather than me selling it to help pay for anything)...so...I've got to come down the "wants"

 

How on earth do they get the interior carpet to look like that?? Price is right if you like a tip. I always like to see cars in person to do my own visual and check the matenence records. The milage is nothing (mine has almost 28K and the engine is stronger then ever). I would give him his asking provided you could fly over there and pick it up in person/or have it transported. Problem for me is I would never buy a tip and Ebay isn't my favorite place to shop for items this expensive but yes its a chance you take and depreciation would be minimized down the road. For comparison my cars MSRP (same year more heavily optioned) came in at $142k. I got 5k off but you could get this at almost 1/2 the cost today! Not a big issue for me because I am keeping it for some time to come but yes its sad this car took such a hit in only 4 years.

 

thanks for the thoughts and words of advice - maybe I should work on the better half and see if we BOTH can't have what we want.. ;-)

 

Get a PPI on it and drive it back to Texas!

 

gotta chuckle at that - that's exactly how I bought my last 2 cars - flew to Las Vegas and bought a '93 BMW 850 and drove it back..... drove the 850 to Scottsdale and drove the M5 home (never again buying a car in Arizona - taxes too high and being from Texas I had 'ta pay 'em !!!!!)

already checked with Utah dealer - no tax for outta State - pay the low 6.25% here when registering

man oh man - you folks are temptin' me !!!!! gonna keep an eye on the '07 - 2 days to go on the bidding

 

If you want an aesthetics PPI I'm sure I can arrange that. I do PPI in northern Utah, and have some friends that are detailers in St. George that can take photos for you.

Decent price, bc it's a tip I imagine. The exhaust tips are crooked, ?prev aftermarket exhaust, ?demodded???
get a ppi, if it's clear...enjoy.
I've driven a tip tt on the track; very impressive, almost wish I had gotten one.
