Trackdaddy is infamous around these parts
Anyone know this Turbo?

Outside chance, but figured I would give it a shot. Just recently went up for sale and according to Carfax, spent most of it's life in New Mexico and Arizona. I took a look tonight, after hours, and looks pretty straight. Has after market exhaust and who knows what else. Don't care for the wheels, but easy fix.

not familiar with this car..but..I do know this car sellership

I was going to buy a vehicle from them - but after driving from Tx and during the PPI process the car was discovered to be a piece of junk (this was after a forum friend had driven the car in Scottsdale a few days earlier for me..)

suggest you be VERY careful and, if serious, have it PPI'd by a very reliable source

(p.s. : are you an Arizona resident ? - you DO know that the Scottsdale, Az sales tax is right at 9% ! - a real shock where, in Tx the tax is 6.25 % State=6.6%..County=.7%..Scottsdale=1.65%)

Just recently moved out here from TX and got acquainted with the tax real quick. Not very fun, but what you get in return with regards to the city and all it has to offer, makes it worth it. Really enjoy the atmoshphere and the car culture has been a joy. The month of January was a treat with all the auctions.

Great to know about the dealer. How great is the PPI? I mean dealer or individual, the car could have the same issues. Great tool and I plan on taking advantage when I locate correct car. A car from the left side of country appeals to me for obvious reasons and although tax is a pain, if price is right... overall it will not matter to me.

Sales tax is pretty brutal around here, but if you're buying out of state, aren't you paying your local tax?

Never been to or even knew about that dealer. But it is around the corner from Evolution Motorsports. They may be able to do a PPI (not sure if they perform that service or not). Penske Automotive (body/paint shop) is also right next door and they could probably run a paint gauge over it check for respray.

Only local Porsche dealer that could perform a PPI is Porsche North Scottsdale.

You always pay sales tax on your home address..So even if you buy local
your going to pay tax on your zip code.

Rbf - I recall reading that an Arizona resident will not be charged sales tax on a used car IF bought from a private party . If it's from a dealership the buyer does pay tax. Do a search on google and there are posts on it.

As for the specific car and your question .. I don't know.

Does not seem right that tax should be paid on anything twice.and with cars it can be many times over.Guess we could just get PO Boxes in Washington.
