I thought this over literally all last week-end before ordering a TTS yesterday. April build. The best reason I can give is "I can't wait" followed by "I want it all" followed by"poor impulse control" Good luck with the agonizing. I completely understand

Buy now, then buy again in 3 years. Let the first model year shake out some of the challenges of the 991.

I, too, recently wrestled with this. Just took delivery of my new TT S 2 weeks ago. Loving it!

5 reasons for the 997!

1. I wanted the fastest car on the planet now!
2. The 997 has classic, gorgeous looks.
3. It is a very mature design.
4. The new 991 may incorporate a new engine and is a fully new design. I don't want to own the first release of any car. Too many potentials for problems.
5. If I get a 991 Turbo, it will be an updated version of the original

thanks for all your replies.

i am currently driving a R8 v8, overall i'm contented with my car but after driving a 997turbo pdk. now i'm having second thoughts whether to trade it in and go for it, or just wait for a couple of years after seeing the spy photos of the new 991.

really a tough decision.. 1week of sleepless nights.

turbo here in our country cost around 244,000USD.

Wow If I had a R8 as my daily drive, I would definitely just wait for the new 991 to come out. The R8 still makes a lot of heads turn (especially chicks) haha.

After having many Porsches, several first year versions, 997 all the way without question...

I would revise my comment based on the R8, just wait for the 991.

The interior of the 991 looks like the Panamera, I'll go for the 997 Turbo, right NOW :-)

I say, get the 997 Turbo S, and then wait for the 991 Turbo S (may be quite a few years).
