More clearance on '2011 911 Turbo ??

Hi, I'm looking at getting a new 2011 Turbo (non-S) and need an extra inch of clearance on the front end to be able to safely get up my elevated driveway. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Ideally I'd like to be able to use an alternate front lip spoiler that provides the additional clearance but have not been able to find one (the C4S has a different bumper so that one won't fit). Another option is to just take the spoiler off completely, but I can't tell if that would make the front end look "un-finished" or not (i.e. you can tell there is a piece missing)...

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

CR

This would be much cheaper if it does the job for you: http://www.bridjit.com/. I am thinking of getting some because my car will not clear once I put coil-overs on and lower the ride height down the road...

I've looked at this for over a year - the lift kit is about the only decent solution. Forget the ramps fillers - those are good for your driveway, but you are going to clip everything else, so why not have the lift on the car and not focus on one single location?

Chris, from your avatar, it looks like you have a painted front lip? That just makes bumps all the more painful...

I went with the techart lift kit when I went with the techart front lip spoiler. It will not work with the stock suspension and requires either the techart or bilstein coilovers.

I needed all my homelink buttons as well so I had the installer put the button beneath the hand brake lever. Nice clean install within reach.

How easy was it to have the techart kit installed? Could the porsche dealer do it? Do you end up with an altered suspension? better/worse than stock? How high up will it raise your front end?

Sorry for all the questions Thuggy, and thanks for the reply. This may be the solution I need.

Cargraphic also sells a lift kit, although I'm not sure it is compatible with the stock OEM turbo suspension. It does work with Bilstein Damptronics though.

Yes it is painted. The price I pay for good looks

It's already a bit scuffed up though

No problem. It is a fairly labor heavy intall, between 8 to 10 hours, plus a smaller battery will be needed and obviously a alignment when complete. I had a hard time finding a shop to do the install but through a recommendation went with a local Porsche dealer who was great! I have not noticed any suspension performance changes but I don't think I would be the absolute authority on feel and performance limits . I previously had the Damptronics suspenion on the car so its been a few years since I was stock.

I now have an additional 2.5 to 3 inches of clearance which is more than enough for most cases and better than stock clearance and I would not have done the expensive techart lip without it.

Thuggy, has the lift kit required any maintenance over the years?

Instead of messing with the car I just had our driveway and the office parking garage redone to accommodate existing clearance. Case solved.
