Experience with Cargraphic Airlift Suspension Kit?
Experience with Cargraphic Airlift Suspension Kit?
Hi, I'm considering getting a 2011 Turbo and have concerns about whether it will have enough clearance to get up my driveway. In another thread someone suggested the Cargraphic Airlift Kit.

Does anyone have any experience in using this kit on their car? Any comments on experience would be greatly appreciated.
Things I'm interested in:
- does it add noticeable weight to the front end (i.e. can I tell its there in the steering)?
- is it reliable? will I have to have it serviced often or is it something that I just install and then pretty much forget its there other than using it to get up my driveway every day?
- anything else?
Thanks!
Chris.

My B16's were about £2k and the air-lift was about an additional £1k I seem to recall. But that's UK and that was some time ago.
That's parts not installation. Labour really depends on who fits it for you.

Don't know where you are looking at for pricing but from my research the cargrphic lift kit is significantly cheaper than the techart nose lift kit. I will have to get one soon as well.

Cargraphic is definitely cheaper, uses the porsche air compressor and has a key fob control and cheaper to install.
The Techart is a hydraulic system, so quieter and potentially quicker from what I have heard and has a control designed to be installed with a factory look.

had both. Techart is miles better as it works and makes less noise and is faster. The cargraphic newer kits i heard are greatly improved.
So must be with the techart ones. Those kits were work in progress first year they came out.
One thing to note though, it greatly improves the usability of a low sports car.. One of the best mods i did on the car.

Cool, thanks GT-TT.... do you happen to know if they work with the stock suspension that comes on the car or do you need to install aftermarket?
you need coilovers.. The spring internal diameter needs to be around 73mm for the techart one and the shocks need to have certain width too.
I think it you need to match it carefully, not sure techart works with B16 but maybe it does, ask them.

Sorry for the dumb question.... I'm a bit of newbie (about to buy my first porsche ever).... Are the B16s the stock suspension that come on the 2011 911 Turbo?
