GIAC or Softronic
GIAC or Softronic
I'm getting a 997.2 Turbo PDK
i can't decide whether to go GIAC or softronic.
Can't find any direct comparison in terms of power & torque delivery.
Anyone can share their experience
Thanks

After much research I decided to go with Softronic. Major deciding factors were the breadth of good reviews both on here and on other forums, the fact that the cable provided allows one full flexibility to change back to the stock ECU (this being the true stock, not a stock equivalent program) and the fact that it's usable with the Durametric diagnosis software. Service/Support was second to none - had some issues with an old cable (purchased off another 6speeder), with everything being resolved in the end.
All this said, my plugs decided to go on me since the tune install so haven't had a real chance to put it through it's paces - hopefully mid next week after plugs and coils get replaced
BTW if you're in the UK, With Softronic there probably won't be any import duties as all you'll be receiving is the cable. Everything else is done online (uploading/downloading of tuned files)

I am confident we could beat that.

Actually, good call TTSurgeon... I didn't realize he was talking about a new 997.2.
Get to know your car first, leave the warranty in tact. After a few months/years in it you'll know exactly what will suit your needs best without having to ask us for advise
Who knows - you may feel that upgrading the suspension may be a better investment for your $$... give it time!

GIAC all the way. They have more tuned cars on the road than any other tuner combined. If you buy through Champuion, It's warranteed for the life of your standard warrranty!! What's that worth?
GIAC makes sensible fast cars that i like to refer to "all weather all condition". Yes you will see the 116 meth addicts putting out crazy power, but they don't drive their cars every day. You can take a GIAC pump gas file to the track and flog it, and then put in 100 octane and flog it at the 100 octane file power.
