2011 Turbo S exhaust Suggestions

Has anyone upgraded their S exhaust yet? I am looking for behind the cats only as my dealer told me this would not change the factory warranty, thanks in advance

Leave them stock. If you drive it mello, it has perfect manners, if you hit the sport button and kick it, it roars. Why mess with the best of both worlds.

Hey to eaach his own, but I think the car rocks stock.

The tts has a spectacular exhaust. Far better than the std .2tt. I would not add a thing to one of these cars.
I had mine aligned to gt2 specs upon delivery, that was about it. The car needs absolutely nothing. The truth is, it would take a well driven gt2 or gt2rs to beat it on a road course, it's dat good!

Agree the car definintely needs a better note than stock.

^^^ This is the best exhaust for your car and there's one right here for sale. Dont miss it.The seller can get very cheap freight. The next best is the Akra muffler but you'll be paying more than this.

??? Really- I was under the impression that the S and the std 997.2 TT had the same exhaust? I know the S has other items that come stock but if the exhaust is different what are the variances?

To my knowledge they both use the same system....and they both sound like lame ducks....not Porsches.

^^ This is what should have come on the car from the factory.
Install and...problem solved .

Like I said, to each his own. I have owned cars with exhausts. Did a full HKS conversion on an RX7 and a yet another on an M3. After a while to thrill of the hi performance sound gave way to the droan of the exhaust. I was alot younger then and it was pre cell phone days. I do not believe my blue tooth would be efective with those cars and modified exhausts. I guess it all depends what you want from your car. i purchased the 911 TTS Cab w/Centerlocks so I did not have to do a thing but wash it once and a while!

Love this car stock. Right now I am very happy with all the performance /sound.

Good luck to you, getting your car the way you want it. You spend big bucks and deserve to have it ytour way. I was just giving my opinion with does not make it right for you-just sharing my ownership perspective.

My post was to the OP NOT you. Nobody is telling you or anyone not to leave their car stock. You gave your opinion, i gave mine. Deal with it. You go on as if every aftermarket system there is on todays market drones. You evidently have made bad choices in systems......your problem. The 997tt/tts is no GT3, Ferrari, MP4C when it comes to engine note, inside or outside of the car. There are many that recognise that fact and choose to correct that problem.

It's all good mate perhaps you missed the part where is mentioned the fact the it is MY ownership perspective. Did not mean to touch a nerve. Enjoy your car and your mods. At the end of the day your car, meaning the owner, should make you happy. I am not here to fight or argue just help others with my observations and opinions gained from personal experience.

Have a good weekend.

You directed the post to me so how was i to interpret that comment? Anyway...just highlighting the obvious.

Didn't miss anything....and no nerves touched as such. Just wanted to set the record straight from my own position as you had directed the post to me. Perhaps you need to be clearer in what you write if that was not the message you intended....but thats definitely how it reads. In so far as exhausts go, the EP was not my first exhaust on my car. I changed the previous one out because it droned and did nothing for the performance. Sure it wound up being an expensive exercise but i don't believe in accepting any level of compromise that would impede my enjoyment of the car. Drone is not something i can accept least of all in a car of this nature and value. And like your self I'm no longer 21 years of age either.

PS. As you will see, the EP is not just your average aftermarket exhaust. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...install-3.html

Tubi

I have/had Tubi exhausts on two cars and planning on putting their STREET exhaust on my .2TTS (Have no interest in race exhaust). Never had a problem with drone at any RPM level. I would love to hear the Euro on a .2TTS - any links that someone can point me to? Forget it - Found it. I have to admit - the Euro sounds darn good.

The new tts stock exhaust sounds 90% as good as the EP1 imo. The sound btwn the tt and tts.2 is different, I would suggest you actually drive the two and you'll see what I mean. I suspect they are manipulating something on the intake/resonator to achieve the sound change, but it is clearly different. If you really want an am exhaust, EP is the only choice.
