Passport Radar

Hello everyone!

The system below was installed on my car when I bought it. Few questions: What model is this? How easy would it be to uninstall?....I may want to sell it. Thank you!

The dealer said they installed it for the customer for a cost of $3,600.

Why would you want to uninstall it? Just don't turn it on if the beeps annoy you. That is a really neat installation. You will have hole/holes behind mounts on lower console.

If I do decide to sell it and it can be uninstalled, this way I can tell my wife, "see hunny I didn't spend anymore $ on mods I sold something to buy it".....lol...in light of me already spending 6k on wheels and other Mods in the first 30 days of having the car!

Keep it. You will save yourself from tickets.

That is a 9500ci. One of the best radar detection money can buy. The parts isn't that much in the used market. A good amount of money is on the labor installing it.

Having just been rewarded for excessive velocity (80 in a 55), I vote for keep it! The cost is mostly in the labor and the parts will not get you any worthwhile amount of cash.

I have this set up and it would be a smart move to keep it and learn how to use it (Updates and what not). One of the down sides of these cars, is it looks and sound like itis going faster than it is and it attracts alot of attention from Law Enforcement.

3600 to install? Some one got taken to the cleaners.
I recently picked up a 9500ci system for 1000 and 800 to install.
Awesome system - yup, best money can buy. I would keep it for sure!!!
...and yes, you'll have ugly holes in your dash.

Definitely hold onto it. I have the same 9500CI that comes with weekly and monthly updates. One of the best radar, laser detectors on the market. Read the manual, you can keep it on mute if the alarms bother you.

That is a very nicely done installation. The trade-off for $$ gained would definitely not be worth removing it.

dont forget you have to divide by what the dealer tells you price wise to get 'true' price. Regardless its a nice install and a good system, keep it in there.
