Best Racing Series

Does anyone have any recommendations on a race series with 5-8 races a year where the vendor provides the cars. Something like the Drivetech or Skippy Mazda Series

Any ideas would be appreciated

Whats your budget? How far do you want to travel, and what tracks do you want to run at? Most importantly, what type of car? In almost any series, you can find arrive and drive style rentals which sounds like what you are after. No fussing with owning the team or the car, or trying to run a race team, just show up and drive

Hi Louis

Locations do not matter as I can go anywhere

Thanks. I am Skip Barker certified and can afford the $5k a race weekend for 8+ races. I want to run the Formula cars and prefer an arrive and drive. I am leaning to the Barber racing series

Does it have to be a spec series? You can rent a ride in any series with the right licensing.

So you have an SCCA regional license? Or national?

I would rent from someone and run SCCA regionals. A lot of teams provide rentals that include everything just as you're looking for, simply show up and drive.

I personally would race Spec Miata, just because of the competitive nature of the class, there won't ever be a dull field.
