I am working with a buddy at MT tires and trying to get a feel for how many people would be interested in a 335-30-20 Drag radial for the street. Would be 27.9 inches tall and a hair over 13'' wide. I have been wearing him out to get a tire made for my Ford GT so I can stick some DUMB POWER

get some 315/40/19 ET streets made (Ford GT stock size) and I'll buy 4.

I'm using the 305/30 or 35's can't remember/19's they make and they dead hook 1050 whp in second gear.

Wonder how they will work with up to and beyond 1400+rwhp? Do they work better than the hoosiers on the street? I Need 20's cause I have the Zr1 carbon brakes on my GT. Mickey is sending me a set of those 19's to try, if I can get my car done for tx2k12, I will still most likely need them for the mile too.

much better than R6's on the street. Don't do Mile pulls on the Mickey's (they aren't allowed at Texas Mile).

Can ET streets hook over 1400......guys use these to go 7 second 1/4 over 200mph so yeah they will hook (if heated)

CCW makes 18" wheels that will fit over ZR1 front brakes. You don't need 20" wheels to clear. Plenty of 18" DR's that will do what you need.

R6's will not hook that power on the street. Mullet is right - you do not want to run drag radials at 225+ at the mile - they wiggle way too much.

Ford GT needs a 28'' tall tire thou as the stock tire is over 28'' tall. There is not a 18'' radial that is 28'' tall. The cars look ghey with shorter tires, so im really not interested in a short tire. Now guys run 240+ in the 1/4 with a mt radial with no problems and several cars over 220+...LMR's problem was more than just the tire. Under inflated and on an improper rim for what they were doing. Anyways im getin them to build me a 28'' tall 335 wide radial to mount on 20's..It'll be 9 months or so but its going to happen.

BTW Mullet these guys are running 6.50's @ 240 on a radial at 3200lbs in stock suspension mustangs. with 12-18lbs of air pressure. For mile stuff you want 30lbs of air pressure. I have hoosiers for the mile tho and good to know about the mickey not being allowed.

Also Jason have you tried the wider 345-30-19 hoosier r6? Im curious to who has tried them. Im thinkn about gettn a set.
