Buying OEM parts: Advice needed.
Buying OEM parts: Advice needed.
I am upgrading my clutch on my 997tt to the Sachs 764 pressure plate. After taking the tranny out, my mechanic called and said the following parts need to be replaced as well based on condition: flywheel, clutch slave cylinder, accumulator seal, and a couple small related parts. Who is the go to source for OEM parts? So far, Suncoast (forum sponsor), oemparts.com (Sonnen, forum sponsor), and AutohauszAZ (where I have ordered BMW parts in the past) seem to be good options. Can anyone give some feedback on where they have had the best luck with respect to pricing, good customer service, and prompt shipping? Thanks in advance.

I have had good experience with Suncoast. Whilst you have the engine out, you might want to consider going to a lighter flywheel (GT3RS), and potentially updating the master/slave cylinders for the clutch to a GT2 one - the clutch feel will then be like the GT2/GT3 and in my opinion much much better.
