2012 Turbo S Turbo Upgrade Availabilty?

Hey guys just curious, are there any other kits out there besides champion motorsports for 2012 Turbo S turbo upgrade kits ? If so, your thoughts on them compared to champion. Thank you

Almost positive SoftTronic has a tune.

I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Yea, I am looking to upgrade to larger turbos.

I have renntech muffler deletes, lightweight battery and a carbon fiber y pipe + carbon fiber intake from champion motorsports. What else can I do to make my turbo S faster? I will upgrade the turbos if I can find a kit making worthy power gains. Champion is out of stock on turbos for like 5 weeks.

not yet, because I may skip doing just an ECU flash by itself and do upgraded turbos if there are any available.

That does not make sense and the cost to power would not equate. The ECU Flash is the biggest gain you can do to that car. As well the Turbo S has a limit on the PDK tranny. On my link I sent to my build, the flash was compared to another tune. Ours gains significantly more power and makes your car from 530 - 615hp. With the upgrades you have, you are probably not gaining the full capabilities of the mods. I would not waste your time with the turbos and do the tune first.

No as you would not get a tune or a proper tune for your vehicle. The process is really simple. I can even do a screen share with you to help you. Your car will be DRAMATICALLY faster!

I'm sorry, but I respectfully disagree.

With our larger VTG turbochargers and tuning from GIAC, we are able to make about 580 wheel horsepower on the 997.2 Turbo (measured independently by a customer of our's who installed the kit in Texas).

By your own admission, your car as tested produced 530 hp. Clearly there is still some room for improvement by adding larger VTG turbochargers, and staying within the capability of the PDK.

A flash is certainly a good starting point, but there definitely is some room left before you hit limit of the fuel system, which comes before the PDK limit.

Yes your turbos and flash would be good. But he just wants to put turbos only on. We both agree the flash is a start but the turbos would need the flash to optimize the mods.

Absolutely. The turbos will require new programming. But I think what gkviper meant was that he didn't want to get a flash now, and then have to get a new one down the road when he upgrades the turbos....that's the way I read it at least.

I can assure you that with the Champion VTG turbos, your limits will never be the capabilities of the turbo, but rather the tolerances of your other hardware. We have completed multiple 550+ whp pump gas builds with these turbos, and the tuning has always been conservative to remain within the limits of the stock internals. With a built motor and transmission, I cannot even fathom the capabilities of these turbos. The fact that they are OEM-quality is just icing on the cake.
