Turbo S

I received a call from my guy at a local dealership, they are trying to get me into a MY12/13 TTS and they are giving me good price for my trade. The question is, should I pull the trigger on a 12/13 TTS or should I wait till the new 991TT comes out? I know the new 991TT wont be out until December 13. I've always wanted a white TTS since last year but timing was not on my side. The TTS Im after has CL wheels, I prefer the 5 lugs because I can transfer my HREs. How much lighter is the CL wheel vs 5 lugs front/rear? Thanks for your comments guys.

It looks like you have a tuned 997.2 TT set up and tuned to your specifications. What do you have in mind in terms of the pros of switching to a 12/13 TTS from your current ride?

I wouldn't, you'd only be making a lateral move with a lot more cash and taking a hit on yours. Wait for the 991ttt.

OEM CL's about 200 grams lighter than OEM 5 lug - not a big delta.

+2.

Obviously, the deal with the 991 will not be as good, but I, personally, feel you'd be better off waiting until next year to get the newer version (almost certainly better in base trim, than the current S trim).

Buy our used one. It left yesterday on a truck to Naples Motorsports. We have a 2013 Bentley GTC ordered. Watch for it to turn up on their site or call them. White w/black & white stitching. MSRP 187,000, 2011 & 4900 miles. I already took the big hit and you can drive it for a few years and then trade it on the 991 Turbo. Here is the thread from when I bought it. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...sed-today.html

BTW - I sold it to them so you would have to deal with them. They offered me more money than I could get locally.

Thanks for all the comments/suggestions guys, there are a few reasons that Im entertaining the switch to the TTS. First, a white turbo is priceless, second, Im tired of getting harassed by the stealerships for having tuned cars (I've tuned just about all my cars), I recently had a little issue with the PCCB (making weird noises), I brought it into a non-preferred Porsche stealership and they gave me grief about my car NOT being stock. My current TT is fast but I bought it used and I do not know the history of the car prior to my ownership and Im tired of black cars and its upkeep to maintain its shininess. Lastly, I cant stay loyal to any one car or cars for long...

I just want something fast in the stock form and may be an exhaust/wheel mods.

You buy this car and when the new TT comes out with the beautiful new convertible top like the 991 , you will have wished you had waited. The new cloth top is art compared to the old top.

Just ordered it so some time in March. We had a GTC that we traded for the Turbo S so going full circle.

With all due respect to the OP, but I have to ask imcarnuts his take on the GT2 vs TTS, as I'm debating myself between the two cars.
