I'm sure Porsche can find another face for their brand from one of their younger racers.

 

It's just a matter of when, not if. At least 991s are offered in 3-pedal versions so we are safe for the time being.

Driving without a clutch pedal is just plain boring.

In addition as far as I know the PDK 991 can't equip a mechanical LSD (the real LSD, because the brake simulation is rubbish). No manual gearbox and no LSD?

 

I doubt he'd risk publicly admitting that now without having the stamp of approval although over a beer outside of company earshot he may fess up Either that or his left leg has finally given up the ghost..

Hmm. GT3 with no real LSD? What's the world coming to.. Buyers of the PDK must shoulder some of the responsibility for the situation...

...actually this "no more manuals" is worse news than i first realised. My wife says today "now this is a great move", says blah blah Porsche needs more girls driving these cars and men should realise only girls drive auto sports cars anyway..huh?... so in other words move off/move over buster. Says she'll be happy i have no other option. That way she can "let" me drive the car (her) car. Sheesh. Damn all you PDK guys... I have two words to say: Boycott PDK! Immediately!

 

I've read that only 10% of licensed drivers can even drive manual! Half of those don't even want one because there is too much traffic. Building a manual car is just becoming a waste of money, unfortunately. Simple economics. Just to be clear, my turbo is a 6 speed.

 

This is a sad reality....and getting worse..

I'm sure there are some that thought electric engines were the future, and this combustion thing is just a fad.
