997TT ECU flashing?

Hi Guys,

I'm new to world of Porsche and I'm very impressed with the power and performance of the 3.6TT.

How many of you have actually flashed your ECUs to get more power?

On here probably a large portion... but 6speeders aren't your average 911 Turbo owner

I'm still surprised at how many stock Turbos are out there!

That is a very good point. The guys on this forum are the ones that are performance minded and there for more likely to modify their cars.

I ask who has modified their ECU's because I'd also like to know if the stock car can handle the extra heat, and power.

I have an FVD Stage 2+ tune. Drives like a Camry until I step on the gas and/or hit the Sport button.

That is way cool! Was the stage 2+ a custom tune done for you car, or more of a standard tune?

Joe,

In addition to the FVD stage 2 kit, I had headers, GT3 TB and Werks plenum. FVD slightly modified their base stage 2 tune to better take advantage of the extra mods. Not sure what exactly they did but my TT performs amazingly well!

SZ,

Who is FVD? I did a quick search and found a tuning company in Germany. Is that them?

Hey Joe
Id say the 997TT tune is the most popular flash in the entire line up.

TONS of happy customers across this entire forum with it.

Joe there are plenty of good options for a TT, what are you looking for, information or for a potential purchase for your car?

+1

I have been extremely pleased with softronic and Scott provided outstanding customer service. I'm sure there are other great tuners, but Softronic will get all of my present and future business.

Thank you all for all great info. It sounds like Softronics is the way to go. I'll have to look into them some more.

I just purchased my first ever Porsche and it's a 997TT! The first thing I will do to my car would be the Softronic tune.
