997TT logo for a shirt
997TT logo for a shirt
So i have been trying to come up with a logo for the 997TT that captures both the Porsche lines and uniqueness of the TT. My goal is to either screen this on or have it embroidered. The forum seem to be a great place to seek opinions so please feel free give me input on the design so far.

That's some professional marketing advice there, I would have charged a client $1000 for that brilliant insight
I like what you've done, but IMO get rid of the "PORSCHE" and you have a winner. Like the Nike "woosh", it is more powerful without words when a symbol or logo can stand on its own and still convey a powerful message. Plus those in the know will know exactly what you've got there, especially with the side intakes!

I love the idea.
I agree that the Porsche logo could go, there is no clearer shape than the 911! BUT the bottom needs something... as when the logo goes, its open ended!
Design wise, although I see where you are going with the inside of the car to be two curves and the thickness of the front and rear bumpers to give the outside shape, versus the design provided above by therock88, I think it should be somewhere in the middle. He has taken out the thickness and follows the outside of the bumpers. Yours are too thick, his are non existent. Truth should be somewhere in the middle. I do like the idea of the rear bumper air vents at the bottom. Typical Turbo. BUT takes from the simplicity of your design which should be a 911 with a rear spoiler, and a side vent.
I know lots of BUTs I am just thinking out loud.
To make tshirts, there should be no shadow if it is embroidered.
Keep us posted. When you are done, look up queensboro. I have used them in the past for tshirts and caps for my firm. Great stuff! Solid prices, very low minimum quantities (4 in some cases).

I like your design!
Perhaps design in front or back and Porsche on the opposite side?
I'll take two. One black cotton t-shirt with white stitching and one white cotton t-shirt with black stitching. Both Large
Let me know I'm serious!!

The addition of the rear bumper vents finishes the image thanks! I tried to incorporate them in an early version but didn't like them.
I agree the text and logos belong elsewhere if the image if able to carry the message.
The thickness or inner portion of the lines are suppose to convey the lines of the original 60'-70' 911's.
Will look at a shirt run if there is an interest.
Stay tuned for version 2....

Who would i reach out to to talk about the "Porsche Police"?
I assume its a lot like dealing the Disney police if you use a likeness of Mickey or any portion of there logo?
Last thing i want is a tap on the shoulder over a T-Shirt...

Your logo (minus "Porsche") on a polo shirt or cap is 10X better than the Porsche badge or "Porsche" lettering because everyone immediately assumes you're a ****** when you wear Porsche ensemble. (Remember Joey on friends? "Did a Porsche throw up on you?")
Your logo is stealth and subtle. People in the know will know what you're wearing and those that don't will just see a cool car design. I like it and would buy a shirt and cap with that logo design

Frank I got another idea.
Can you use as an inside line the profile of a 1964 first 911, and the outer line as the 997 that you have, with the gap forming the black line?
With some distortion of the original to make it fit better it would look cool i think...
In case you cant find it, here is an example to trace... you seem quite handy with the art software.
