Its all one piece on the 997.1 turbo, not DIY friendly Im afraid. Plenty wallet unfriendly though!

I'm not new to the p-car pricetag of everything, but I have never vented before.... Exhaust pricing for our cars is absolutely insane. 1/2 the material as most exhaust at 3x the price.

I know what the problem is, its an exhaust for a $150k car. A lot of us probably wouldnt be driving our cars if it were not for the crappy re-sale value. So to the guy who can swing the $150k toy, a $5000 exhaust probably seems ok, just sucks for us po-folk down here at the bottom.

Exactly! That's why I went to used Fabspeed V3 system for $1400. I don't care how EP1 sounds better. To me, it's insane to spent >$4k for the exhaust alone no matter how good it is. To be honest, I love my only(?) $1400 used Fabspeed exhaust. To each their own.

To the topic, yes you can diy if you are handy and have some nice tools. I did mine with help of friend and it took us about 5~6 hours. It's streight forward but just time consuming job.

Agree...but that's the great thing - you don't have to buy it.

I thought the op was referring to an exhaust mod to the factory exhaust, my bad.
It's an easy diy, don'task me how many times I've done it...too many. 3-5hrs skin to skin depending on your help/skill level.

You are correct, I was asking about modding stock exhaust for higher flow.

Looks like I will keep an eye out for used high flow exhaust.
