2011 TTS Delivered Today

I took delivery of my 2011 TTS today. Three questions:

1. It has 1800 miles. The break in period per the owner’s manual is 2000 miles. I’m a pretty disciplined guy and can wait if the car needs it, but 200 more miles at 4200 rpms and below for a car that’s been in service 2 years??
2. I assume (at the chance of being dead wrong or it being operator error) that the front row of LED white parking lights is supposed to illuminate from the larger roundish light on the outside of the row all the way down the small line of lights toward the center. Only the one outside light comes on with the rest of the line dark. What gives?
3. There’s no beeping when first going into reverse or approaching a wall in reverse. Is that a fault in the parking assistant system? Could it have been disabled?
Thanks.

First congrats! Car needs to be driven more, jeesh 1800 miles in 2 years? what a museum piece

Second, I made the same erroneous conclusion about the led bar; it is NOT like the 2010 C2S, unfortunately they are amber only as a turn signal (unless you spend outrageous amounts of aftermarket money in parts stays lit white and blinks amber for turn (agency power? unreliable as I have read) and remove the bumper and run wiring and splice into the existing harness (voiding your electrical warranty in the process); The only DRL are the round LED fogs. The little parking light on the outer part of the bar is not LED, but that is easily replaceable with an non-fault triggering resistor enabled LED bright white that matches the fogs and xenon in color (Hoehn is the brand I used)

Third, parking sensor should emit a single beep when going in reverse. If it does not, something is wrong.

Thanks DS. The car sure doesn't have many miles, but it's like it just came off the showroom floor. Thanks for setting me straight on the LED bar. I just checked and it's as you said. The park assist must be on the fritz. 18 months left on the warranty so all is good.

I've heard other folks have issues with the park-assist before as well, and had it fixed under warranty.

Turn the stero down, fans off and you may be able to hear the park assist. Very low sound volume IMO. Have been told the volume level is fixed. This car is loud at idle (when you are putting the car in reverse of course) compared to others I have had, a volume control for the park assist would have been nice. We are not all 27 year old engineers with good hearing. 2013 911 turbo

I'm a little behind on good quality pics. I brought it home Saturday. Five cars tried to get me to race in 25 miles! I parked it in front of my garage at just the right angle to look at it, then spent over an hour on the adjacent patio reading the owner's manual (where's the PCM instruction booklet?). I've attached a not so good cell phone pic of that and a couple of videos of it coming off the transport (the engine sounded awesome when the driver started inside the trailer). The best pics I currently have are the attached ones the dealer had posted. Oops, apparently reached the attachment limit. Will post the videos on the next one.

That is one great looking auto. Did you modify the turbo s badge or did it come that way?
Was rejected when I tried to post the videos. They are 5 and 3.7 MB in .mov format.

First of all congrats on your purchase, it looks like you found a gem Were looking for a while before you found this one ? I would also consider some Clear Side Markers if you haven't already. I must say I love that first shot you took.

Funny you suggest the side markers. I ordered them from your company last week and got an email this morning saying they had shipped
I was in the TTS market for 3 weeks. Was waiting for a 2012 with silver and charcoal to come on for sale but when this incredible 2011 came along jumped on it.

If you're asking about my car, I had my Turbo S badge painted Guards Red as a factory option.

Great news and thank you for the support, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM me. I think you made a great choice with the 11' , still can't believe how low the mileage is. Enjoy and keep us posted with future modifications

Congrats to you. Love to get together. I'm a Boeing driver also--a Stearman. A Baron is it now though. I apparently can't PM until I get more posts. You live anywhere near PDK? (I got a kick that my home field's identifier is the same as the abbreviation for the German name of my new whip's transmission).
