GT2 Intercoolers
I just bought EP1 for my 2007 TT and I was thinking to upgrade my intercoolers for the GT2 RS intercoolers.
Can somebody with experience tell me why I should do it or why I shouldn't do it?
I also have Softronic in my car.

Hey Budddy, I don't have any "technical data". However my performance gains are a 1 second decrease in my 100-200 times which you can see on my performance thread. So I would personally recommend them for "normal" use up to 600hp I guess. I am satsified with the gains i got given that they cost a fraction of what other coolers cost on the market. This is just my personal experience. Congrats on the EP! Make a thread and sound clips!

They are an economical choice for those on a budget. They outperform many aftermarket alternatives, but have some limitations. And they do require some modification/fabrication (mild) to fit.

What are the limitations?
I am not very familiar with the 997tt platform as I just got one and mine is stock, but normally more power is gained by upping the boost or timing. the reason that the IC are good is that under hard and hot conditions, the car will normally pull timing since it is not getting as much oxygen due to the heat. the IC will keep temps down and prevent some of this timing pull.
so basically, unless your tune is modified to run more boost or timing on account of the IC, I wouldn't expect huge power gains.
if you track the car, I would certainly add an IC if I was running a tune. I don't plan to add the IC personally since I track the car but run stock software.
I alredy did and he said they work but i shouldn't expect to gain any power from IC.... pretty much he agree with Bluecrab.
Does anyone know if the GT-2 or GT2-RS intercoolers are different form the 997 Turbo S intercoolers?
Also, are the 997 Turbo S intercoolers different from the standard .2 Turbo intercoolers?
