Has anyone every replaced the stock wing on a turbo with something more subtle like a duct tail? I'm interested in such a change but don't really know where to start.

 

There is always the Porsche Aero kit tail.

 

Hard to as the inter coolers are in the way.

I dont see why the optional ducktail from the GTS wouldnt work, but I'd PM Tom from Champion to be sure. The intercoolers shouldnt be an issue since they're not ontop of the motor like the 993's were. The Aero may be amiss, but if ur a person that keeps it under 120mph it shouldnt be an issue.

I thought he was looking for more subtle. The aerokit is a fixed elevated biplane wing. I passed on one car, because I thought it looked awesome, but definitely was NOT subtle! I think the stock wing is decent and doesn't scream at people. One option is to go with a carbon fiber replacement stock wing shape. Subtle but unique. Rottec sells one for about $900.

 

I agree with you Surgeon. However I could never find the part number of the Wing alone. All the stores i check in say they need to sell it as a whole Aerokit!, Any ideas?

I have seen a picture with a turbo having a ducktail wing a few months ago it looked abit odd to me. I think BBYWU (Bob) can help you find some pics of a ducktail wing on a turbo! Goodluck buddy

 

I don't think the OEM aero wing will for the op due to his tts being a cab. I'm in the same boat and would have done the aero wing if its compatible with cabs...
