Should be able to source this lower part of the rocker panel from any Porsche dealer, or maybe even salvage if it did not matter...but new is best when leaving it unpainted.

Try This

I have purchased various items from them. Competitively priced.

That part is referred to as "rubber lip sill cover." Its' part numbers are:

997 504 863 00 left
997 504 864 00 right

If in question, I would recommend you download the parts catalog form Porsche's website.

They retail for about $10-20 in the US. I have personally stayed away from LA Dismantlers. I have ALWAYS been able to find parts I need, in much better condition, at much better prices (they were asking for retail prices for used parts in most of my inquiries.)

+1. These are not easy to install, even if you pre-lube the tabs. I love the cars, but this particular part is not what I'd call an example of engineering brilliance, since it's an item nearly as prone to replacement as the front lip. Helps to have some patience, a little spray lubricant, and a plastic interior trim tool to help seat the tabs. Grrrr.

The same thing happened to my car, ran over something and knocked it out! The tabs slide into little slots patience is the key here.

thanks for the advice, I tried to get the old one to fit but hasn't so far, maybe I don't need a new one at all...
