Hey Guys,

My 2006 Carrera S had the Bose High End Sound Package option ($1,390) and wondering if this option was available on the 2009 Turbo's? I have the word "Bose" on my door but nothing in my options list on the window sticker.

Bose came standard on all turbos.

Weird because the Bose in my 2006 sounded WAY better. It seems as though I have no sound in the front and sounds like I'm in a tin can. I've played with all the options like fader etc. and nothing that sounds remotely close to my 2006. Maybe my front speaker aren't working? Even the sub sounds weak compared...

 

I have it on my 03 tt and it sounds great

 

That's the Bose systems way of telling you to just listen to the engine

I've had the Bose in a 2006 C4S and now in a 2008 Turbo - don't recall any differences - both were not very exciting.

Agreed! Just find it weird that the 2 systems are the same yet the 09 sounds worse.

I'm starting to like the sound of the Turbo engine a little more now after a few days...seems really bassy to me.

 

That's awesome. Would you know where I could find a Canadian version order guide for the 2009 Turbo? Where did you find the one you attached?

Check the fader controls to make sure they are equal front/rear. Then check the tone controls of course. Once you've done that, find my budget audio install thread in the 997 section and rip out all the stock speakers! You would be amazed what the stock head unit and Bose amp are capable of.

 

I did check all that...I might take it in to have a tech look at it. Even with the bass at max, I barely hear it. There's definitely something not right because my 06 sounded like it had the Burmester option compared to this!

 

Definitely something wrong then. The Bose sub is boomy as all get out. With the stock system, you would definitely turn down the bass on the eq.

 

I got it from my dealer. It is how they ordered the cars. They no longer use them as it is now an "E" world. The only way to get one is if somebody saved it or if the dealer saved it.

You have to join to actually download if interested in any. There is a Canadian '07 Turbo.

 

Other than the pricing being in CAD$'s I imagine there are not any differences in the order guide with regard to options, etc.
