Intercoolers/turbos
no. if you want to hear that whistle sound, remove your cats.. and drive in higher gears.. if youre cruising at 30-35, stay in 3rd and apply throttle smoothly.. you want tokeep the rpms low (below 3000) that'll give you the sound your looking for..
this is the sound you want right ?

That is exactly what I'am talking about, and I actually have installed a Borla system with no cats and aftermarket headers, see attached videos:

ok i see it now.
i see why your exhaust sounds so different compared to other 997 exhausts.
the flexing tube section is doing something to the sound.
if you want your car to sound like 100% of every turbo out there that whistles, you need to get a product that is designed specifically for porsche.
i would sell that exhaust (or give it back if possible) and get yourself a catless x pipe exhaust. the video you posted has to be the quitest catless exhaust known to man... the flex tubes/pipes are doing something to the whistling sound youre looking for, and that center muffler is probably very restrictive (thats why you cant hear the turbos).
did borla actually make that entire exhaust or did another shop add the flex tubes ?
