Yet another over revs interpretation required..

Hi guys, first post here.

Looking at buying a 997 T and had the PPI today. Got the over revs report and wondered if I could get some advice/interpretation.

Plenty in range 1, small mount in range 2, only 68 ignitions in range 3 and 4 in range 4.

Are the range 4 ignitions an error?
Should I worry about the 68 in range 3? It seems a very minor amount. Also appear to be a long time ago. Car is an 07 with 36,000 KMs.

RANGE
NUMBER OF IGNITION AT OVER SPEED
OPERATING HOURS COUNTER READING UPON ENGINE
1 5220 6017.800h
2 581 578.500h
3 68 578.500h
4 4 248.500h
5 0 0.000h
6 0 0.000h

congrats! go for it! silver one?

68 on range 3 isn't an issue.

How is the clutch on the car? Any slippage? May be the cause of the range 4. I had mine register at idle.

GT silver, PCCB, diff lock, adaptive seats, bose...ticks all the boxes. Clutch seemed fine on my drive, no slippage. Just when I thought everything lined up...the dreaded rev range report..!

Will hear back from Porsche tomorrow re warranty...what do you guys think? Green light? If they reject the warranty I want a very clear explanation as to why.

they will offer you warranty as long as the results of your compression and leak down tests are good. Be prepared to pay dealership prices for this. They will then send these values to porsche in Germany who makes the final decision.

Compression test came back fine. Off to the motherland for the final nod.

Rest of warranty check was fine, couple of minor issues.

I've confirmed the purchase and am stoked...cant wait to start the mad obsession with getting it, then keeping it, perfect.

congrats!!

But i'm confused, why do you want warranty if you are going to mod the car anyway? Modifications of any kind will void the warranty you purchase. Unless you are getting the nod only for peace of mind.

Thanks!

Why do you think I want to mod? My middle name is stock.

All I'll be doing is bringing her back to her original, glorious condition...and keeping her that way.
