New 997.2 Turbo owner in Dallas
I just added a 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo (PDK) to my garage. It arrived last week from Chicago. I have owned a Porsche Carrera S, GT3. This is my first Turbo and my first non-manual car. I am having an absolute blast and I want to drive it 24/7!
My 2007 GT3 is one of my favorite cars of all time, and it will remain my track weapon. I wanted something I could drive all the time and anywhere which is why I got the Turbo. After driving it though, I really want to take it to the track. I don't know if it's the Turbo power, the PDK or what, but the thing just feels so much faster than any car I've ever been in.
I have always been a huge fan of the manual stick shifts, but this PDK is amazing. Its nice to have the option to put in drive and just cruise, or switch to the paddles for high speed fun. It makes me realize that I'm now fine with knowing that the next GT3 is PDK, since this thing shifts beyond better and faster than I ever could.
One of my favorite stories so far in my 6 days of owning it, I was in 2nd gear getting on the highway, foot to the floor and it seemed like not even 4 or 5 seconds went by and I let off the gas, looked down and it said 110 mph.
I am a huge car guy but Porsche is by far my favorite performance car company and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
Arriving on the truck. Would of liked to grab that Stingray too!

Excellent-can you share the purchase process-pre sales inspection or any concerns regarding vehicle condition? Might be good to know when it is finally my turn to pull the trigger. How about shipping information too. thx

Congrats. I had to sell my 07 GT3 to get my TT, but I absolutely plan on adding another .1 GT3 to the stable in the future. Preferably an orange RS.... but anyway. I tried tracking my turbo too, and honestly you're going to just be disappointed when comparing to the 3. Worth doing once, but the extra HP just doesn't compare on track to the dynamics of the GT3.
Any plans to mod the TT?
