Gain 100HP and Dont Worry About Warranty!
New from VR Tuned is this performance Tuning Box kit for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo 958. This tuning box kit is a plug and play solution to tune your SUVs fuel, timing, and boost giving you up to 40% more power and 20% fuel savings. This Tuning Box works on the 2011-2014 with both the SDI6 and SDI8 ECUs. The VR Tuned ECU Tuning Box Kit gives your Cayenne Turbo engine a gain in power from 500bhp to 600bhp gaining you 100hp!
Engineered for boosted cars, these vehicle specific plug and play kits are designed to easily be installed and uninstalled as needed. The harnesses feature OEM plugs that attach to necessary sensors where the pre-mapped tuning box gives your vehicle huge amount of performance gains. Unlike other "piggyback" solutions, these use high quality connections, wires, and casing that are designed to be engine mounted for longevity to the elements. The actual tuning box is housed in a aluminum casing that is weatherproof. These factory plug and play harnesses allow you to remove the kit as needed for warranty purposes.
Altering sensors related to fuel, timing, and boost, the car is still very safe and reliable as it maintains factory knock control. Each Tuning Box Kit has been engineered and tested to work in even the most extreme environments of altitude, temperature, and driving conditions. Interested in this.. Question how many have you sold and how long has this been out? I've heard the Plug and play solution from Evoms doesn't work that well and wonder how your product differs from EVOMS. Also what is the advantage of doing this over the GIAC route?
The manufacture has been producing these for this platform and others for years. There is 1 manf that builds these and provides them to different companies. So I can say they have sold 1000's. How does this differ from both of theirs, I dont know as I have not used their product. The nice thing is that this is a plug and play and does not lock to your VIN. So you could use it on your Q7 even if you bought the other harness. Will be happy to give you a 30 day guarantee.

Thanks for the quick response! Are there any supporting mods that are recommended to get to 600hp? or stock intake, plenum and exhaust/dp's will work? Glad to see other options out there! So The hardware is made by someone else but the tune is in house VR?
I got 100HP on my PTT doing the bench ECU flash and had stock parts then added the Y Pipe and Mufflers. In the scheme of things, they help a bit with efficiency like a BMC filter would too. But you can have the stock parts. You will gain more power of course with downpipes and a full exhaust, but not necessary.
The units are already mapped and we have the ability to further tune them if need be. But the basic file is good unless you are running some crazy custom setup which is usually the case in a 911 but not the Panny.

Thanks for the reply. I have not dynoed a Cayenne just the Panamera. Same engine. Torque on the turbo cars will be equal to the HP gain just coming on a lot sooner. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

For $2k I think it is easy to be disappointed
I don't know anything about this specific product and while it seems to be in line with other box tunes for the CTT/PTT I've seen there are a couple of things that jump out at me based on my experience with tuning other forced induction motors.
The first is the price tag (again, it's in line with it's direct competitors) as normally a box tune is substantially cheaper (sub $1k usually) than an ECU tune, yet this is not the case with the CTT/PTT boxes I've come across. What makes the Porsche FI motor so special that it is 2x or more the cost of boxes for other makes?
The second is the claimed HP increase. I'm not doubting what you say, though I'd like to see hard numbers from a dyno, but normally a box tune is much less aggressive than an ECU tune since you are just fiddling with input values vs remapping the profile altogether. So if the numbers you provide are indeed correct that would imply that the ECU tuners are leaving a good amount of power on the table and usually the opposite is true.
I don't really have skin in this game since I don't have a CTT, but those would be my concerns/questions if it were something I was interested in.

From what I understand this is the highest gain by tune for the CTT or PTT. GIAC and EVOMS claim 60hp gain..... if this is confirmed with no Hardware changes needed then this looks like the best bang for the buck. I would like to see dyno with stock hardware if you guys got it. The picture you guys show (in this post and on the product page) states that it was a GTS (photo name is 14GTS), so it is a bit misleading that you guys have actually done DYNO work on the CTT and this product.

Another question... Who is the actual tuner that writes the tune? That is critical to me as a customer as I would not want the average Joe programming my 100K plus car. I know you guys work with Softronic so I am guessing it's them? Without knowing the details of this I am a bit hesitant....
