I would choose the 997.2 IC's as you cannot beat them for the money.

Do the 997.2 / GT2RS IC's require any cutting to fit them into a 997.1?

I have never fitted a set but I do know that the ducts need some trimming to make them fit.

Yes, minor cutting in air ducts. After trimming, they fit like glove.

The Forge are pretty great. 100% satisfaction from my 996/997 guys. Good data and testing as well. I have some coming in tomorrow. All require trimming. Forge has a nice guide.

Hey Nick, rarely will a end user be able to do testing. At GIAC I saw a 20c drop on my personal GT700 car. I also have faith in Forge's testing they have done and it's on their site. I just know many tuners tell em that they do not love the GT2RS. They are great for the $, but the end tanks fail and many tuners see better performance and temps when upgrading.
...Just my .02

Nice did you take some before and after logs when tested them?

Forge never tested their coolers btw, it was done by a tuner out here in the U.K.

I have read the end tanks pop off on high boost applications but you can add extra clips and bond the end tanks to remedy this small issue.

I did not record. At the time was focused on over-all tuning. I think it's a known fact that the .2's have great cooling ability but are restrictive. To each their own.

I guess it depends on how much boost you want to run and how much power you want to achieve in the end.

Has anyone tried getting the 997.2 air ducts as well when upgrading the IC's on a 997.1? To not have to trim anything?
