Best steering wheel 997.1?

Well the leather of my 08 TT is slowly fading and was wondering what would be a good replacement steering wheel? I came from an E92 which had a thick steering wheel and was hoping to go that route. The only thing that concerns me is that the interior of my car is natural brown and I'm sure that most wheels come in black...

I have the 997-II sport wheel in mine, extra thick from factory.

I was planning on changing my steering wheel, and I have full carrera red interior, i mean all is red! I don't know if a new custom black steering wheel would match. Of course i will change the steering column as well to black.

Seems alright on the beige/light brown interior shown above.

Wow. Beautiful. That's exactly what I was hoping it would look like. Was install a breeze? Or did you get it professionally done? If so, mind sharing the price for the part and complete labor??

I take it that the 997.2 steering wheel fits /functions perfectly ...? Been considering this as well, not sure if its gonna work .. I suppose it does. Does it come with a multifunction version?

Fvd.com has one with paddle shifters and a lot cheaper and easy to install vs oem 997.2 steering wheel

Some replies.

Bought steering wheel over Ebay for cheap from a private seller.
New airbag from a German company also through Ebay.
Total cost less than 1000 euro.

Steering wheel was a PDK type so removed flippers. Did the install myself.
You do need to activate the horn over Piwis. My Porsche dealer did it for free, took him less than 2 minutes. Hook op computer, activate 'MF steering' and horn works. People who have a MF steering wheel today need no programming, just install the wheel and done.

Sport steering wheel II comes extra thick from factory. They all come like this.
Not 'tuner' thick like f.ex. Techart but just perfect !

M coupe , I think a black steering wheels works with the carrera red interior !
You should add a black gear lever and handbrake and everything will look factory.

Thanks, it looks great. Can you please tell me how you removed the paddle shifters as i couldn't find a way to get to them. Also can you use durametric to enable MF or would you need a dealer to do it with PIWIS?

Uh oh. This looks too beautiful to pass. If I don't want the carbon fiber, it's also possible? Where did you get it from and who did install for you please? Total damage? PM if necessary - thanks.

Don't they have a show room (CEC or something like that) in West LA?

Now that I have a taste of the BMW M3 steering wheel, I do think something even thicker than the stock Porsche Thick Steering Wheel is very desirable.
