Black porsche turbo with red rims-opinions?

I'm thinking about getting red rims for my black 2008 porsche 997.1 turbo. Any opinions out there? Bad idea or cool, any suggestions on which brand and please post any pictures if you have red rims.

It is really such a matter of personal preference. Whatever works for you!

Are your current rims the 808s by Wheel Dynamics?

Yes they are, I'm just looking for other member's opinions. I think they would look bad a$$ but I am looking for other members opinions, just curious if others have done it and pictures.

What is your opinion of the 808s? I have contemplated purchasing the set in the past. They certainly have a lot of eyeball, but I have wondered about manufacturing quality.

If you want to play with colors, I would ponder a gold or bronze style combo. That deeper color gold looks great on black cars and may fill that change you are looking for. Red will look gaudy in my opinion. Ultimately all that matters is what YOU like and no one else.

That's my concern (gaudy), I don't want to attract any more attention as I live in a small town. I'm not crazy about gold or bronze, they seem to be too getto IMO.

Maybe I'll stick to black or silver. My porsche mechanic thinks red would look fantastic and I was looking for feedback from other Porsche owners.

I would never put red wheels on anything. Your car looks great as is. If you want a different look consider a silver wheel with polished lip. Keep it classy!

It wouldn't be my choice, but depending on the shade and finish of the red, it can look good:

Forget the red, Joe Racer written all over it. But if you want to be different and give your rims a little pop. I would add red pinstripe around the rim edge.

Agree that red doesn't work and if it didn't blend with the red of your calipers it wouldn't look right. Black and silver are always safe choices but how about considering a graphite or titanium finish, really looks good on a black car....
