My 2011 TTS
My 2011 TTS
Hello all! I've posted a couple of threads here but I've yet to post up pictures of my new to me Basalt Black 2011 Turbo S. I picked it up in mid-March and traded in my beloved 2011 M3 to get it. I truly loved the M3 and must admit I sometimes miss the utility and of course the amazing exhaust note it had with the Akrapovic. I get over that quick when I mash the go pedal.
The car had about 25K on the clock when I picked it up with about 2.5 years of CPO warranty. I swore to myself I'd try and resist the urge to mod but I have failed miserably so far.
Haha....
First thing I did was GMG springs and GMG front/rear sways. This seems to me to have made a world of difference in the handling of the car. The car seems more planted, more neutral and just seems to know where I want it to go now. I was really worried about being able to get it in my garage after the install but alas I've had no issues with clearance getting around town so far! After the suspension I powder coated the stock wheels black, which I think really added an air of aggressiveness to the car and then added the clear side markers.
Last but not least I picked up the Cobb Accessport and I am running the stage 1 OTS tune at the moment. I'm still in awe of the performance of this car! I'm now trying to maintain the willpower to put off ordering a Europipe exhaust for the sake of my bank account and marriage.
Paint was in decent shape from the dealer but I washed, clayed, polished and sealed with the Zaino system and it now looks much better. I'm looking forward to being a part of the p-car community. At any rate... too much rambling. Here are a few pictures!

When and if you get the Europipe exhaust you will not only enjoy that exhaust note you so much miss from your M3 but the reduced back pressure will be very noticeable. While you are at it throw in a BMC air filter. Breathing in and out is so important for these engines. It will thank you for it with added performance. BTW. Gorgeous car and set up. Enjoy.
Thanks. Appreciate the comments. The finish on the wheels is indeed gloss black. I put the black center caps on as well. It may end up happening a few months down the road but I'm sure i'll cave at some point here and do the exhaust.
Very nice! I too bought a black CPO TT in March and couldn't resist the urge to mod for very long. They are such spectacular machines.

Bought this car a month ago. Did a few things on the interior and put Red nuts on my Center locks.
Couldn't help myself, there was an EP used for sale and then thought might as well have a Tune.
Did some research, bought the Cobb that I will install in a few days.

Nice! Love that red interior on black. Good stuff. I'm really impressed with the Cobb unit. I particularly like the ease of data logging the car.
