Looking at a 2010 997.2 TT Car is Black / Black 44K mi

I have a deposit on this car and the dealer got it from the auto auction in Houston. I am trying to track the history of the car before I do the PPI.

Car is located in Houston TX, was bought as a Certified Pre Owned from Porsche North Houston in 2012. However the certification is no longer good since car was sold from dealer to auction (I believe).

That's a hell of a deal.

 

Does seem like a good deal.

Drove the car and it drives great. One thing I must consider is buying the car from a dealer, I must pay 6% (4K) sales tax. If I purchase from an individual then no sales tax. Also, I must do PPI, I want a warranty and think it will be about 6k. So, there are other cars from individuals that have existing warranty and no sales tax, even higher price maybe better.

Since this car is from a dealer that got the car at auction, I am trying to get the history. Any help appreciated.

Check the Texas regs again - when you buy from an individual, you do pay sales tax when you register the car.

 

Also it doesn't have the Aero kit as stated in the ad that is the standard turbo wing

 

True, I just registered the Diablo I bought from an individual and the county had its hand out
$8,000 wasted dollars.

 

Damn thats a good deal too....if that car was red, white, or cobalt blue I would punch that buy it now box myself.

BTW, if this is Gary Seales' place he is a good guy to buy from too.

 

What do you expect from a dealer who calls it a "Turbo 4".

In regards to sales tax, yes Texas does require on all vehicles. I will title in NV where we are moving back to.

Other than that, do I need a PPI and extended warranty? How reliable are these cars?

Go visit Porsche north Houston, they will have the records when it was serviced by them, which it seems it did for most of its miles.

I tend to do a lot of research on cars etc and I also came across this particular car but through other websites. I did a little digging and something did not seem right so I step away.

Not sure how legit this website is but it was enough for me to be cautious. Just be careful and check that car out with a fine tooth comb.

 

See, I told you. Too good to be true.

 

I know this car!! it had some issues and sold at Manheim. This 997.2TT needed some TLC including Check engine light. I beieve it was sold as IS. If you want detail you can PM me.
