Recommended Porsche Paint/Body Shop for Los Angeles South Bay/Long Beach Area?
Recommended Porsche Paint/Body Shop for Los Angeles South Bay/Long Beach Area?
Car rolled at slow speed into another car and my rear bumper is scratched. Damage is superficial so it looks like it just needs to be repainted.
Any recommendation for Porsche-oriented paint/body shop around the South Bay and Long Beach area of Los Angeles please?
Any estimate on cost? Trying to decide whether to pay myself or let insurance handle it. TIA

Well Spectrum Collision in Irvine/Lake Forest is pretty far from you and they aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. They are owned by a BMW dealer (The Shelly Group) and most of the high end cars from Orange County dealers end up there if they are looking for 100% guaranteed perfection. They have done some paint work on a few of my cars and the results have been stellar.
Any chance to have a detailer use an orbital polisher to try and get the scratch out? My daughter's audi been taking a beating at the university parking lot plus she's a new driver. I've been using my porter cable polisher with some mezerna cut polish. I've been 80% successful.

took my e92 m3 for some body work to Nate at C&C also, the work is very good, better then the previous body shops I took my cars to, but they are on the expensive side... you get what you pay for though!

Just had my front and rear bumper replaced with oem and repainted. I also had 1 muffler replaced and some brackets and lights (I spun out). I used Class Auto in Long Beach. Circle Porsche uses them exclusively, and they are a certified Porsche repair shop. They are expensive, and take their sweet time, but the work was flawless. I used a friend of mine who is an indy Porsche mechanic to verify the work they performed, and he said all the repairs were done properly and to spec. My 997 tt is factory malachite green and I was a little afraid they wouldn't get the paint correct. However in examining the paint close up in the sun and different shades of light the paint match seems to be spot on. again, they are expensive, but since my insurance covered it I wasn't too worried about price. Fyi quotes from other shops came in about 30 to 50 percent less. Hope this helps.
I’d recommend Prime Complete Auto Services in the South Bay/Long Beach area. They’ve been in the business for over 25 years and do top-notch paint and bodywork, especially for high-end cars like Porsche. They also handle advanced cruise control calibration if needed. Definitely worth checking out!
