TiKORE Tuesday, where a local 997.1 turbo Porsche customer showed up for his install of a matte titanium 2-piece Porsche TiKORE titanium lug bolt set.
The customer had an immaculate Porsche sporting a set of HRE wheels, however that were bolted on by a set of corroded OEM lugs that physically were seized to the wheels...and had to be replaced.
TiKORE machines in house out of an aerospace certified grade 5 6AL-4V titanium. Certified means each batch of material is tested to ensure the mechanical properties are correct. Each lug is manufactured individually to strict tolerances and all threads are rolled not cut for superior strength and wear-resistance.
Now for the install photos.
...and we had to take some with the TiKORE 997.1 turbo shop car
Anyone have any thoughts or photos to share on how these bolts hold up over time? I have a few titanium sport watches that tend to scratch up much easier than my steel ones. A longevity report would be appreciated!
We have torqued our lugs down to ft. lbs well exceeding these new torque settings, and have had zero issues with the lug bolts, as all threads are rolled (not cut) for superior strength and max wear resistance.
What about Acerlugs? They are also titanium and half the price?
These lugs do not mention where they are made...so you know what that means.
We stand true to our precision titanium products machined in house (U.S.A.) and want to offer quality american made parts. Sure these other companies can "say" they are made out of a certain grade titanium, but the certified material we buy costs as much as the entire set these other people are selling for.
