I have been lurking around this site for a while and finally want to formally introduce myself. I've been on the look out for a 997 TT for the past 6 months and have found the right one for myself.
The link above is the one i have purchased. It is on its way to me in NY from Kansas! Im super excited. I feel like after 6 months of searching, i was able to snag this sick deal. White over terracotta with only 27k miles!! I was even able to nego the price lower by a little, including refinishing the lip, new brake pads, and clear protecting film all around.
Looking at carfax records, it seems to be well taken care of. Only thing i see is that its had the coolant leak fixed (which is a well known issue). Car seems to come with 20" Techart Forumla II rims, Techart exhaust tips (at the moment, im not sure if its just the tips or the entire exhaust), smoked tail lights, and also i see the interior was upgraded to carbon fiber trim.
I was coming from an E46 imola red M3 and in fact i still have it. Owned it for quite some time (8 years) and just felt the need to upgrade. Naturally Porsche was the way to go.
My future plans for this car is to swap out the rims as 20" is too big for my taste also with NYC roads will take quite a toll on them. I also want to change the smoked tail lights back to stock red tail lights. Last but least, I dont like the Techart exhaust tips, looking for a dual tip look.
Anyways I have a long road ahead of me so i'll be looking forward to making new friends and taking advantage of all of the useful info off of this forum.
Wow.. Congrats on a nice looking car, and an insane deal! I shopped around a long time before also buying one recently, and never came across one priced so low without insanely high miles.

Thats what im saying, when i first looked at the ad i was like this is gotta be a joke! But it all worked out I was first in line and had put a down payment on it.
Wow Thank you CAM for all of that information. What do you think about the price? It seemed too good to be true when i first saw it.
That would've been my thought as well... That is a pretty great deal.
I've not seen anything that low that hasn't been wrecked or had 60,000+ miles. The only other question i would have is what does the DME report look like? If carfax checked out, personal inspection checked out and DME is normal then you should be extremely happy with the deal you got. I am sure the winter season likely helped lower the price a bit as all prices seem to dip a bit because of the season.

Welcome and enjoy your new toy!!
Yeah when i tried to request for a DME report, the Chevy dealer says they dont have the necessary equipment to read from Porsche. Not sure how true this is. At this point in the sale, im pretty much just crossing my fingers hoping previous owners were gentle.
