PCM 3.0 Issues

Besides the fact that the PCM in my 2012 997.2 is a buggy, poorly designed electronic device, I'm actually having lot's of issues using my iPhone 6 with the iPod interface. First off, the iPod interface doesn't actually charge the iPhone anymore. The phone shows that it is connected to a charger, however, the phone doesn't actually charge and looses power instead. The other issue I'm having is not being able to listen to music via Bluetooth. Since I'm connected to the iPod interface and it doesn't charge, I am unable to connect an actual car charger to the phone thus losing power. I either have to charge my phone or listen to music - seems pretty pathetic given what I paid to own this car in the first place. My old Audi had these features way back in 2008, so I'm just wondering if my PCM is having issues or is this what everyone's experience has been trying to connect their iPhone 6 to the PCM iPod interface.

I have heard of other people having issues if they used one of these:

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...apter?fnode=3a

but this type didn't have the issues:

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...-02-m?fnode=3a

Not really sure why it was like that, but they were having some of the same issues you are and by switching the adapter to the other type their problems went away.

Just great - I'm using the adapter that you claim is the better one. I'm just really annoyed at this point

Weird that you mention this because my adapter use to work fine. It charged my iPhone and allowed me to play music when connected. This weekend I noticed it played music but it wouldn't charge. I know it used to charge my iPhone 5S and a few months ago I switched to a 6 but never noticed whether it charged the 6. So maybe the adapter charges the 5S but not 6 or 6+. Maybe needs a different/newer adapter??
