Minneapolis lowered turbos?

I've been thinking about switching the stock setup to GMG lowering springs. I like the look. I was out driving with a buddy in his stock 2013 Corvette. The chin spoiler was bumping/rubbing every driveway and angle change(parking ramps). It was a pain. I really don't want to have to deal with this. Has anybody that regularly drives and parks in downtown lowered their turbo? Do you have rubbing issues everywhere or just in extreme situations?

Thanks

Although I do not live in Minneapolis, I bought my 997tt from there and the chin spoiler was pretty well scraped up even at stock ride height. I believe that just about everyone who lowers their car replaces the chin spoiler on a regular basis.

I'm on H&R springs and I scrape over road imperfections. Like literally scraping just over bumps and dips while driving on the road. Forget about it with ramps/driveways/speedbumps. It is a pain and I'm going to have to raise the car back up.

I too am on H&R springs and let me tell you, it's not the ground clearance that makes you scrape the front lip but the slightly long front overhang of the 911. I scrape at almost all entrances, driveways. I'm on my second front lip btw.

I'm on h&r springs and scrape too, but it's a chin spoiler that only costs a few bucks so I don't really care.

Do most buy the eBay cheap from lip and when it gets damaged, go buy another? Do you see any damage besides the front lip such as getting hung up on the rocker panels between the wheels? This has happened on my Corvette a few times

Oem lip is cheap @ 200. Some like look of one eBay lip that juts out a bit. The oem reproduction should be avoided for bad fitment and not even really being much cheaper than oem

No issues other than front lip and I'm in nyc which is about the worst case scenario

I live in San Francisco and my front lip will be getting some abuse with all the high angle road transitions.

Im on H&R's .... Scrapping on high ramps "Think parking buildings" and higher speed bumps and If I hit a speed bump going a bit "too fast" .... Only the chin spoiler scrapes so Im not too concerned, if it ever becomes a problem then its pss10 time with a drop that works ...

Cheers

i'm in Mpls and scrape everything with my Champion carbon chin spoiler at stock height. Would never get in any ramps with lowering springs here. Add our crappy roads and the stiffer springs.
