Very cool. I think you should stick with your finely tuned 997 Turbo. It is so well done. A Stage 2 991 TTS can't beat you. What does that say ?

 

The 991 turbos are smaller than the 997.2 turbos...

The two cars are very evenly matched. The GTR is owned by my buddy Serge. I've beaten him every time (roll race and drag race) until this event and he can't stand it so he was with his tuner Ronnie at RD Engineering until 3am a few hours before the event started in order to get every last ounce of power to try to beat me. And he finally got me. He is likely making 660-670 wheel HP and TQ and there are some people thinking he's gonna bend some rods very soon. He needs to drop his torque down to 600.

The white upgraded turbo GTR is also on stock motor so he limited his torque to 616 wheel for that very reason.

 

The tune adjustment worked perfectly Austin. It ran flawless!

Haha thx. This event didn't have crazy fast cars like Shift Sector. There was a Veyron but he wasn't racing anyone. There were two 1,000 HP GTR's but they didn't run much. I wanted to line up against one even though it would have been a slaughter from a roll.

Yeah like Stage7 says below they have smaller turbos so mod for mod they will never be as fast. But once we get beyond the fueling limitation we can upgrade turbos so then we will be on an even playing field.

Adam, that black 2014 991 was fast, I ran him, I gave him the jump and could not catch him, he was slowly pulling on me about 1 car length at finish line ( I was alot suprised ). I ran another 991 with a Giac stage 2 tune, I also give him the jump and I was able to reel him in and got him by 3/4 car length. That Blue GTR got me by about 3 cars same as you got me. FYI you pulled on me all the way up until about 130-135 then I lost no more ground till the finish line. I know you were working on fueling issues thought this might be helpful.

So the white car was also stage 2? Your car was def faster. But maybe it was because it was a non-"S" ?? I always assumed a tuned Turbo and Turbo would have the same power but seems to me the S is always faster. The stock ECU maps are different for sure and maybe that comes into play even when tuned.

 

Great vid Adam. Your car is a beast! That silver Supra (single turbo) was quite impressive...
