Need confirmation if my new hood spacing is normal.
Was recently in a fender bender and had to have the hood replaced with another OEM hood. I don't recall having this much space (gap). Can someone (whose never had their hood replaced) post a pic of the same angle of their hood? My concern is the spacing as it doesn't seem to sit flush.
Also, where the windshield jets sit, the hood has indentations for them, right now there's about a quarter inch gap between the indentation and the jets.
assuming a dealer did the repair work, why not drive it back to the dealer, compare with a car on the lot, and then discuss it with the service/repair people if it's clear that something seems off?
because there aren't any 997.1 turbo cars on the lot to compare to. So I come here where there's an army of them so that I can arm myself with some data before I go in there and complain to someone.

Doesn't need to be a turbo - same spacing on other 997.1's. If there is a difference it would be easier to point to an actual car than to compare to a picture.

If you get the answer you're looking for on this forum, I still suggest you visit the dealership and compare cars before asking them to fix something this forum has determined they did not do correctly. Either way, you'd be headed to the dealership, eventually.
Yes Domer. This is no different than if I compared my car to my buddies car before walking into the dealer. I just don't have any buddies with a 997.1. This is where the forum comes in. You can research and ask questions so that you're better informed before walking into the dealer. I appreciate your input.
