I was wondering , even if this is true and we can install the clutch sucesfully , still how does pdk tcu work ? Does it have a limited torque parameter ? Do we need a tcu remap to unlock more than 950NM or the clutch simply goes limp mode only when it sense clutch slip ? Also we still dont have any idea either on how much can the gears hold !
Without a TCM software flash clutch upgrades will work but to a point. There are ways on certain DMEs to report higher torque levels over the CANBus which the TCU/TCM computer will pick up on and calibrate itself for higher loads automatically, provided that its set up to do that from the factory so depending on what Porsche's done in their TCU here's to hoping it'll take just clutches and appropriate DME programming to get the PDK to hold.
What's the highest torque anyone's reported by a PDK 997.2 car so far and where have you guys seen it begin to slip? We've had torque on the 997.2 well into the 600s on our Mustang dyno without slippage and quite a large number of pulls on the road but backed it down for rods longevity sake and until we get some DSS axles on the rear

Anyway to tighten the shift time on a pdk without chrono between the 1-2 shift? Mine is super lazy.

Try having the dealer (or someone with a PIWIS) perform a PDK adaptation as well as a throttle body adaptation. That should help a little.
Dealer thing, or something that can be done at a real Porsche shop?
There is an Indy in monmouth county Nj you can take it to that will do the PDK adaptation. You won't have to reverse the tune or anything and the price would be reasonable. They did it on my car last year. Takes about an hour
It doesn't necessarily have to be a dealer, but they do need to have some version of PIWIS that is compatible with the 997.2.
The PDK adaptation process takes place partially in the shop (with the PIWIS), but also includes a very specific driving sequence that need to be completed afterwards. So, a nice quiet street where you can reach highway speeds would need to be nearby.

Can it be done incorrectly? How do you know the car is adapted correctly, right now 1-2 is terrible and feels bad. Reminds me of cheap euro cars with autos. After that the car is fine.
As Tom mentioned, there is a sequence of adaptation through PIWIS. Any competent shop or dealership would be able to do this correctly. Spend the $150-200 to get it done and see if it shifts better. If not, could be another issue. I bet the adaptation helps.
