Do 997TT's have the white option sticker under the hood? I am looking at one that doesn't have it and the car has very low miles with no accident or paint history. Just worndering...

Some do...some don't. Porsche started shipping the option sticker loose with the 997's and depended on dealer to attach to hood or place in the designated space in the front of the maintenance manual that came with the car...or in many instances, dealer just left it loose to be lost, misplaced, etc. Look in the maintenance manual and see if it's there.

Some Porsche dealers will provide you with a build sheet if you have the vin, especially if you have an existing relationship with the dealer. My local dealer did this for me free of charge for my 997TT purchased out of state at another Porsche dealer. I discovered that the car had PTV (rare option for an 07 turbo) which the selling dealer had never advertised. It was a pleasant surprise to find this option on the car.

Torque vectoring was not an option in 07, perhaps he meant lsd?

Copy of the build sheet attached..........note option #220
It was not something Porsche advertised much and cost $4400 (per my dealer) at the time.

Not sure where the PTV description came from - on a 2007 TT the option code 220 is the LSD - $950 option. Beginning in 2010 option code 220 became PTV and the price was upped to $1320.
Here's the PTV description from the 2010 order guide:

220 Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV)
Actively enhances the driving dynamics and stability by enabling variable
distribution of engine torque to the rear wheels and mechanical limited-slip rear
differential. Depending on the steering angle, steering speed, throttle pedal
position, yaw velocity and vehicle speed, PTV optimizes steering response and
precision by applying brake pressure to the left or right rear wheel as required.

BTW, you'll find that many dealers don't know what they are talking about.

Here's another version of your build sheet with the correct description for option 220.

Not a typo - he has option 220...just that the dealer characterized it as PTV costing $4500 when in fact the option is LSD costing $950. PTV wasn't available on 997.1.

The dealer did not do anything to modify the description on the build sheet. They simply looked up the build sheet for my car through Porsche and printed it out for me. I am sure that this is LSD since PTV was not offered until the 997.2 came out. Not sure why Porsche would provide this information incorrectly through the dealer.

My original customer order sheet in 2006 looked nothing like that, looks like something a salesman cooked up. More to the pint, you have a perfectly optioned turbo! Enjoy!
