Thumbs up DSC Sport electronic suspension control Review

Hey guys, quick review of the DSC Sport electronic suspension control.

Got it in the mail last night, took 4 minutes to "install". Regular mode is SO MUCH better over stock. Car is way more planted over bad roads. Havent had a chance to do much hard driving with sport mode on due to wet roads. So far very happy.

+1. Aside from a Tune, this is arguably the next best mod for the money, IMO.

Agree with OP -- floaty feel definitely minimized vs. stock on default (#1) setting. Things also feel less harsh on setting #2 or #3 that stock sport mode but its difficult to tell if not on the track.

Agree with the performance. But there are a couple of us which have an annoying electronic hum when the unit engages. Meaning when the car starts to move. Troubleshooting has not isolated the issue. The sound reduces in setting 2. But makes the hight pitched sound all the time. Beyond TPS providing a replacement unit, which the problem still exist. TPS has not published anymore support. Would be great to see their R&D rectify this as some of us don't like listening to the stereo full blast or have a catless exhaust system to drone it out. .

Glad you like it! It isn't magic but it sure feels like it when it comes to fixing OEM suspension handling. The guys at TPC/DSC have done a really great job with this product and we're really happy to carry and recommend it first to everyone before any other suspension mod on a 997.

Got the cobb loaded just now Dzenno thanks for email help. Car coming along now.

Looks like guys with hummmm noise have extra wiring like the dension. I have no noise so far but I am having a shop install 9500ci and dension and will report back if we get the noise people are talking about.

Thought too. According to TPC, a bad shock will result in the all the shocks defaulting to a stiff mode which renders the car worse than stock sport mode. Then when you send the module back to TPC, they can run a diagnosis to let you know which shock is faulty. My TPC unit isn't doing that, so I assume my shocks are fine.

Others have the Dension installed the same way using the same power source, passenger side footwell power socket and have no issues. The other user has no mods and is having same issues as I. Let us know what happens with your install. Thanks

Anyone have any idea how the DSC will affect warranty?

Raider89 is infamous around these parts
How does the DSC interact with sport mode? If using aggressive DSC modes for track driving, does that mean don't engage the factory sport mode any longer? Can someone explain generically how it works with existing factory settings?
Thanks,

Thanks,
The DSC box replaces the factory DSC box. It only affects the suspension settings in sport mode. No change to other sport mode functions with the DSC box.
