My new (to me) 997 TT
My new (to me) 997 TT
Good afternoon gents, it is my pleasure to introduce my new 997 TT. I've been lurking 6speed online for over eight years now and I always dreamed of buying a 997 Turbo and was determined to acquire one since I laid eyes on it first in 2006.
Fastest forward 10 years, career is on track, I'm married to my dream girl, have a home and a beautiful daughter. All my stars aligned and I was finally ready to go on my search.
I originally wanted a white on red, manual with sport seats but it became almost impossible after searching for a long while. I eventually threw in the towel and inquired about a black tip car in Texas with HRE and full TechArt Kit but that deal fell though as the car was being sold on consignment and the original owner after 5 months of having his car at the dealer decided he would no longer agree to the asking/advertised price. I was real disappointed but two weeks later this amazing gem came along and I got my 6 speed car!!!
She's Carrara white on full red leather interior with sport seats, and sport chrono. The car had 38K when I got her last Wednesday. I hung out in Florida for a few days and decided I'd drive her home. She's now at 40,500 and will be a weekend warrior. I'll periodically drive it during the week but the car will primarily be driven as second vehicle. I love, love, love it so far and don't regret it for a second.
This was definitely an amazing purchase and I feel blessed to have been able to realize a dream. I'm officially part of the 6Speed 997 TT crew!!! Thank you all for all of the invaluable information over the years. If weren't for you I would probably be in a GTR...I'm real happy I didn't go that route. Not to take credit away from the GTR (it's definitely an amazing vehicle), but it the 911 TT has two things the GTR doesn't:
1. Timeless iconic beauty along with excellent build quality
2. Manual transmission
The GTR is a great car but the 997 TT is more rewarding to drive, it's got killer exotic looks and its an amazing machine!
Sorry about the iPhone pics I didn't have my DSLR with me :-)

Congratulations on the new purchase, I can relate to being a lurker for the last few years just reading. I also agree on the amount of information on this forum none the less the helpful members, it makes owning/wanting a 997 an even a better experience.
Great choice on color combo, while its not for all. I believe its one of the more rare combinations. E
