997.2 TS: Can 245/325 be made to fit?

I swear I searched!! This must be a super common question.

Currently running Cup 2's in the standard 235/305 size. Can I run 245/35 325/30 on the stock Turbo S CL rims? Basically, really stuffing the wider tires on the stock rim size. The front shouldn't be a big deal since it's one size wider, but the 325 rear on an 11" rim (I believe they are 11"?) is really pushing it.

Anyone run this on stock rims without problems over an extended period?

My car's suspension is bone stock now, but I'll be adding sways, DSC, and TPC's front wide track package.

325 will fit in the rear but you really need a 19x12 rim.

I wonder what the negative impacts are on 11s?

I too have the superforgiatas for the track (mine are 5 lug not CL).

The difference in performance with these on the car vs my 20's is amazing. Such a light wheel and they look good too!

Contact patch is bigger with 9" and 12" wheels so overall track performance will be better and of course will look better as well.

Jesus christ that looks spectacular. What width and offset did you go with? 19x8.5 ET53 or 19x9 ET53 for the front? I'll be running a TPC "wide track kit" so I think I have to do the 19x8.5 ET53.

Rear is 19x12 ET48 yeah?

isn't 315 / 245 a closer comparison ratio to stock than 325 / 245?

For the front you will need a 8.75 or 9 inch rim for a 245 section tyre. You do not need to bother with the widening kit. Stick a GT2 sway bar on the back and the car will turn in crisply with help from the wider section tyre at the front. You do not want to change the sway bar at the front IMO - its helpful to turn in to leave it soft.

Had this on mine and it works well with 325 and 245 set up

I have a set of BBS Ri-D running those tires and it works perfectly. OEM wheels are too narrow for those sizes.

i might try a gt2 rear sway bar, do you know if the gt2rs sway bar is any different? Thanks

^ GT2 / GT2 RS, gen 2 GT3 and GT3 RS all have the same rear sway bar.

The gen 1 GT3s have a smaller rear sway bar.

Those BBS's look so nice too. Great job.

Are you sure you need a 8.75 or 9" rim up front for 245/35/19's? Tirerack says 8.5" is right in the middle.

Regarding the sway bar - GT2 sway's don't fit the .2 Turbo's from what I read.

Thanks buddy.

Pretty sure. I doubt Porsche would add weight on the GT2 RS and GT3 RS by increasing width of front wheel from 8.5 to 9 inch unless there was a very good reason for it.

Happy to be corrected because if I ever manage to get a good deal on a GT2 I can run the 245 instead of 235 on GT2's front wheel which is 8.5 inches wide.
