Fabspeed vs AWE Headers

Massive price difference. $2200 vs $800 for Fabspeed. Why? Is there a difference in quality or gains?

I bought a car with cracked headers so I need to replace anyways. I guess that means Fabspeed is the answer.

I can't speak to the comparison, but Fabspeed makes great stuff. A lot of competition Porsches use their exhaust parts

I have the fabspeed headers.... I noticed improved turbo boost gains starting lower RPMs over stock.... Noticable at about 2600.... Can't speak to the AWE...

Please ...please please please please please...don't by any of these headers...they all crack...call Randa at fvd and they will set you up big time ...tell her your a 6 speed member and if I'm not mistakaking it's a 15% discont so it comes out to 1400 for headers that were built for a race track ...give her a call she's awsome and always does the right thing on warrenty and price...my opinion.....fvd...

I bought headers solely for change in exhaust note. We all know these cars don't sound the best but I found he headers add a great change in exhaust note.

I am not a fan of Fabspeed so that is out. AWE does great work and have used their products in the past, same goes for FVD.

Do some research and look at the power/torque curve for the headers. Depending on the tune of the header, you could lose or gain power/torque in low, medium or high rpms.

For racing applications the are generally tuned for the upper end of the rev range as that is where the engine will spend most of its time on the track.

Some headers are tuned for max hp, which generally means you lose torque in the low/mid ranges. Some are tuned for more torque down low, which generally means you don't get as much power at the top end.

Just my 2 cents worth..................... and to make matters more interesting, the stock headers are damn good to begin with :-)

I bought Fabspeed headers then put my car on the dyno I lost 6whp and 8ft pounds torque on a mustang dyno, I took them off and put stock back on. In fact I took off the whole fabspeed exhaust and replaced it with GMG. I didnt realize how ****ty the fabspeed sounded until I replaced it with some american made quality

100% AGREE with you and that is why it took me so long to decide on a exhaust system with my 996T & when I have got my 997T I just got the same exhaust system. My catless Speedtech 3.0 Competition X-Pipe Exhaust System on my 997T is intoxicating & do not want to mess with perfection, but I wonder how headers would change the sound?

What headers do you have, what exhaust do you have and how has the addition on headers effected the sound?

I'm running europipe stage 2 for exhaust, great quality and a decent sound but I wanted a bit more or an aggressive sound without losing the cats and the awe headers achieved it for me. Sounds good and I put down 647awhp with 65mm and all the supporting mods.
