info needed - pdk for 07 997.1

I saw a few thread but haven't seen anyone gotten to change it here in the US. Have a few questions. Does it shift up and down any faster? Did anyone find a dealer to program it in the states? If no one is there a way to ship it to one of the company to program it beside shipping the whole car? thanks

I would assume this would be a lottttttt of money. So much in fact it would be a better idea to trade the 997.1 in for the 997.2 and not only get the PDK but reap the benefits of all the other upgrades as well. I'm sure others that know a lot more will chime in.

From reading what's required doesn't look like much, new steering wheel, airbag, control module and program. Hoping to keep this 1 and a adding a different beast next year instead of upgrading to a new model if I can get it to shift more like a pdk. Anyone can shim in how's the shifts are? Thanks

PDK is a different transmission altogether, changing to paddles will not change a tiptronic transmission to pdk. You could do a steering swap and use the paddles from a PDK car but the shifts will remain the same.

I just want to know if it up shifts any better then it is now. that's my only complaint on this tiptronic. Beside turbo lag but that's a whole different section lol. I should word the topic better. Wanting to do the steering wheel with paddle shift. Any better shift response by doing this. Thanks

You can change Tiptronic internals for faster shifting and higher torque limits. There is some shops specialized on it but i think that Esmotor is the king on it. Just make a search on this forum about it. You will find tons of info here.

It won't shift as fast as pdk but is capable to suport 2x the power that the pdk can handle today.
